PENANG – A 22 years old young Muslim female writer who observes the Islamic Niqab-wearing Jamila Rahim applied to join DAP to show her support on the social justice concept advocated by the party and the respect the party demonstrated to the Islamic view of justice.

According to Malaysiakini website which published the news on Tuesday， September 30, the female writer told Malaysiakini she submitted her application form to DAP Tuesday afternoon.

Jamila who uses Islamic principles as life guidance admitted that the concepts advocated by DAP are very similar to the Islamic social justice principles. Apart from that, the party’s people-first approach is very resemblances the Islamic concept of justice.

A UniSel graduate, Jamila Rahim is the author of a Malay novel First Class Prostitute. The 22 years old lass is a firm follower of niqab.

Based on Roketkini’s report, Jamila is also a social activist. She intended to amplify the voice of the social cause she supports by joining the party.

On Jamila’s application to join the party, DAP secretary Anthony Loke said even though Jamila had obtained the application form but she is still not a DAP member. To become an official member, she needs to submit the form.
