Adenan delivers his promise, hands over RM 2million to Riam Road Secondary School

Resuming work on Monday, Adenan signed the RM2million cheque allocation that he has promised for Riam Road Secondary School in Miri as the school’s building fund. On behalf of the state government, Senadin state assemblyman Datuk Lee Kim Shin handed over the check to chairman of board of directors of Riam Road Secondary School Dato Sri Law Kiu Kiong.
Adenan, when attending the launching of new school building of Riam Road Secondary School on 2 May, has surprised the board of directors of the school and those in the Chinese community by announcing that he would allocate RM2 million.
Lee Kim Shin: Operation fund and land are both approved
Lee, in a handover ceremony held at the Riam Road Secondary School hall this morning, says in the past he assisted the school to apply for building expansion fund, one acre of land for building expansion and the draft plan have been approved.
In addition, he is also working on improving the drainage system surrounding the school.
Lee said he assisted the school in the latter’s request for allocation and help by delivering them one by one. He hoped the school can set up a good learning environment for the students.
Lee said a nation’s progress is related to education. The school is not only emphasizing on student education but also the shaping of students’ character.
On the other hand, Lee urges the students not to believe in remarks circulated on cyberspace and they should seek truth by observing in an objective manner.
Lee says he supports education and is an advisor to many colleges including vocational training college, national youth vocational development college and the branch campus of technical university in Sarawak.
He says after retaining his seat in Senadin, he continues serving people the next day to deliver the five year plan in future.
