(Kuala Lumpur 8 June) Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia Huang Huikang points out that the branch campus of Xiamen University in Malaysia has been progressing well and first batch of 500 students would be recruited in first intake next March. The university has targeted to be the first class university to have tip-top in academic staff and resources.

Willing to send more Chinese teachers to Malaysia

“We are willing to push for more colleges and schools in China to send good Chinese teachers to teach in Malaysia. At the same time we would recommend more outstanding Chinese teachers to attend training in China, pushing for primary and secondary schools in two countries have more academic research and re-training of teachers, provide more scholarships for Chinese independent school students and opportunities for them to further studies.”

He said Chinese education in Malaysia started from zero till now, relying on contribution of batches after batches of educators and Chinese education activists for Chinese education to have sustainable development in Malaysia.
